Each morning, my walk takes me through the cemetery where my husband and I will someday be buried. To most people, that may sound like a depressing way to end a workout but for me, it’s a moment of reflection and introspection that inspires me and keeps me grounded.
When I walk by what will be my final (physical) resting space, it reminds me that my time here on earth is limited. The little stresses of life are immediately put back into perspective and I resolve to make the most of the gifts that God has given me.
“The Dash” is one of my favorite videos produced by Simple Truths. It talks about the dash on your tombstone, wedged between the date of your birth and your death and symbolizes all those moments in between. To view this eloquent and poignant video, click on the link below.
What are you doing with your “dash?”
May yours be full, passionate, purposeful, and filled with grace.
