After a lovely lunch in downtown Frederick with my dear friend and colleague, I decided to help those of you who are interested in wearing white to the garden party charity event (this year’s theme). Consider me your personal shopper for today.
Here’s what’s up downtown: I bought a super-cute white flower necklace to go with my dress at Molly’s Meanderings on Market Street. Leslie (the owner who made a huge sandal donation last year) was not there. She’s in Atlanta buying cool stuff for the fall season. But they had some really nice assorted white tops!
Next stop: Silk & Burlap on East Patrick Street. Angelique and Saule weren’t in the shop but I met Jenny, who is so sweet. Love her! Stop in and say hi. At another time, I’ll show you what I bought there. I’ll give you a hint…. go to their FB page and look for “is the glass half full or half empty?” But, I digress……they have TONS of cool white clothes that would be perfect for the party!
Next stop was to Aspire on Shab Row. Eileen wasn’t in the store either. (I’m starting to get a complex– do they all pretend to be away when they see me coming???? ) BUT, they have some really dear white clothes and in the rear of the store on the SALE RACK is the cutest white eyelet dress that would be perfect! It’s a size 8. If you can fit into an 8, I’m gonna try really hard not to be a hater.
Since I just so happened to be at Shab Row, I popped into The Perfect Truffle and rewarded myself with a dark chocolate cherry truffle (which is why I’m not a size 8!) But, it’s hard work being a personal shopper for you ladies so that was my reward.
