Art in the Garden
June 4, 2016, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Have you ever wanted to learn how to draw? Did you used to draw but lost track of it? Learn new skills or brush up on old ones with “Art in the Garden.” In this “Must Love Shoes” sponsored workshop, learn what goes into making a drawing and explore new methods and techniques to help you get comfortable with the medium. Experimentation is key! Come ready to have fun, relax and enjoy your time in Julie’s June gardens while creating beautiful artwork created with love! This workshop is for all levels.
Instructor Cookie Redding is an artist practicing in a variety of mediums-from drawing and painting to photography, ceramics and printmaking. She received a B.A. in art and an M.F.A. in ceramics/printmaking from Marywood University in Scranton, PA. She runs two art studios in Pennsylvania, sells online and teaches in the Fine Arts department at Frostburg State University. She has a tendency to get excited about art and talk nonstop about it. You will hear her say awesome a lot (which is a good thing!).
Your registration fee includes instruction, mamosas and light fare, as well as the use of the instructor’s materials. Should you wish to purchase your own, you will need to bring:
1: 10×7 sketchbook
1: set of graphite pencils
1: watercolor pan set
1: Pencil Sharpener
1: Marker of your choice
